Drivers in Longquan, take note! The next domestic fuel price adjustment is scheduled to occur tonight, precisely at 24:00 on September 24th, and the anticipated increase is growing larger. With 30% of the current pricing cycle completed, the initial forecast on the first day projected a rise of 500 yuan per tonne, and despite fluctuating international oil prices over recent days, the expected hike has continued to climb.

Current projections indicate a 600 yuan per tonne increase for gasoline and a 580 yuan per tonne increase for diesel. Translated to the pump, this means an estimated 0.48 yuan per litre rise for 92-octane gasoline, a 0.51 yuan per litre increase for 95-octane gasoline, and a 0.50 yuan per litre jump for 0-grade diesel.

Looking back at this year's pricing actions, 18 of the 25 scheduled adjustment windows have already been completed, with increases significantly outpacing decreases: 12 hikes, 1 pause, and 5 reductions. Cumulatively, gasoline and diesel have risen by 1,980 yuan per tonne and 1,905 yuan per tonne, respectively, which equates to an increase of 1.58 to 1.69 yuan per litre. For a typical family car with a 50-litre tank, filling up now costs 79 to 85 yuan more than it did at the start of the year.

The final adjusted prices for this round will be confirmed and announced by the National Development and Reform Commission.
