At a State Council Information Office press conference on the "15th Five-Year Plan" series held on the 17th, Deputy Director of the National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA), He Biao, announced that this year, the administration, in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, will develop a unified integrated television technical standard. This initiative involves embedding set-top box functions directly into televisions via software, creating a streamlined terminal format. With this innovation, a single television will be capable of delivering all types of TV services, including live broadcasts and on-demand content. Additionally, users will be provided with a universal remote control, enabling one-click power on/off and one-click access to channel programming.
