During the National Cybersecurity Awareness Week, Dawa Sub-district centered its efforts on the theme "Cybersecurity for the People, Cybersecurity by the People – Smart Era, Safeguarded Online." A comprehensive series of activities covering diverse formats and full participation were carried out to promote cybersecurity knowledge on all fronts and firmly establish a clean and secure network environment within the jurisdiction.
As part of the initiative, the sub-district organized cybersecurity-themed educational sessions for local residents, community representatives, and staff members. Speakers systematically elaborated on key laws and regulations, including the Cybersecurity Law, the Personal Information Protection Law, and the Data Security Law. The sessions also addressed common network risks and hazards tailored to the practical needs of the public, guiding attendees to recognize the vital importance of cybersecurity and to consciously abide by the law in their online activities, thereby dispelling cognitive blind spots and fostering a shared commitment to cybersecurity defense.
In addition, the sub-district hosted a theatrical performance with cybersecurity as its core theme, using popular artistic formats to convey crucial safety knowledge. These engaging performances attracted a large crowd and enabled residents to absorb cybersecurity education in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
Capitalizing on the high foot traffic at these events, staff members and volunteers from the New Era Civilization Practice Program distributed promotional materials on-site. They provided one-on-one explanations on practical topics, including telecom fraud prevention, personal information protection, and how to avoid online risks, making cybersecurity knowledge relatable and immediately applicable to everyday life.
This series of public awareness initiatives has effectively broadened the scope of cybersecurity outreach and significantly improved residents' safety awareness and self-protection capabilities. Moving forward, Dawa Sub-district will continue to conduct regular cybersecurity education, persistently innovating its outreach methods and enriching its content to weave a tightly knit protective network at the grassroots level and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of residents in the digital space.
The event was organized under the leadership of the Party Working Committee of Dawa Sub-district, co-hosted by the Xingsheng, Qiaonan, Xinxing, and Huian communities, with the Dawa Judicial Office also participating in the educational campaign.
