Market reports indicate that Tesla Motors (TSLA.US) is advancing a new round of humanoid robot supply chain factory audits across China's Yangtze River Delta region, with multiple component manufacturers already part of its automotive supply network securing orders related to the Optimus robot. The inspections span Ningbo, Hangzhou, and Shanghai, with key focus areas including quality control, regulatory compliance, and mass production capabilities at relevant production lines. Supply chain insiders noted that companies passing the audits are expected to quickly transition into full production phases.

Since the beginning of this year, Tesla has continued pushing its robotic manufacturing capabilities toward the mass production stage. Reports say Tesla previously decided to reallocate portions of its Fremont factory capacity to direct more manufacturing resources toward Optimus. The current supplier audits in China extend directly into core component production lines, and the actual production and delivery performance following approval will determine how quickly orders can shift from initial introduction phases to large-scale supply deployment.
