Since the adjustment of domestic refined oil product prices on September 11, the geopolitical situation in the Middle East has been complex and volatile, with international crude oil prices surging rapidly before pulling back, and recently climbing to new highs once again.
To cushion the impact of rising international oil prices on the domestic market, the state has continued to adopt temporary regulatory measures for domestic refined oil product prices.
Based on calculations under the current pricing mechanism, starting from midnight on September 24, the prices of domestic gasoline and diesel (standard grade) should have been raised by 830 yuan and 800 yuan per tonne respectively, but after regulation, the actual increases will be 395 yuan and 385 yuan.
The National Development and Reform Commission will guide refined oil producers and sellers to make every effort to ensure production and distribution, guarantee a stable market supply, and cooperate with relevant departments to intensify market supervision and inspection, strictly investigate and punish illegal and non-compliant acts such as failing to implement national pricing policies, effectively maintain market order, and protect consumer interests.
