China Eastern Airlines Co Ltd (HKG: 00670) has released its latest operational figures for August 2026, showing a notable uptick in passenger demand.

According to the company's announcement, the group's passenger capacity, measured in available seat kilometers, increased by 5.17% year-on-year for the month.

Passenger turnover, calculated in revenue passenger kilometers, rose 6.69% compared with the same period last year. The passenger load factor reached 89.61%, which is 1.27 percentage points higher than last year's level.

In the cargo segment, freight ton kilometers climbed 3.61% year-on-year during August 2026.

On the fleet front, the airline introduced two A320 series aircraft and retired two A320 series aircraft during the month. As of the end of August 2026, China Eastern Airlines operates a combined fleet of 833 aircraft.
