According to the latest monitoring data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the wholesale price index for agricultural products stood at 116.63 on September 20, down 0.34 points from last Friday. The corresponding index for "vegetable basket" products was recorded at 117.30, reflecting a decrease of 0.40 points compared to the previous Friday.

As of 2:00 PM today, the average wholesale price of pork across national agricultural product wholesale markets was 16.33 yuan per kilogram, marking a 1.7% decline from last Friday. Meanwhile, beef prices were quoted at 71.13 yuan per kilogram, down 0.3%, and mutton reached 66.49 yuan per kilogram, also down 0.2%. Egg prices dipped 0.2% to 11.22 yuan per kilogram, while white-striped chicken saw a marginal increase of 0.8% to 17.35 yuan per kilogram.

The average price of 28 key monitored vegetable varieties was 4.59 yuan per kilogram, down 1.1% from last Friday. For the six key monitored fruit varieties, the average price settled at 6.59 yuan per kilogram, reflecting a 0.5% decline. In the aquatic products segment, crucian carp traded at 19.57 yuan per kilogram (down 0.3%), carp at 13.88 yuan per kilogram (down 0.3%), silver carp at 10.19 yuan per kilogram (up 0.8%), and large hairtail at 42.05 yuan per kilogram (up 1.1%).

Among the 46 key monitored fresh agricultural product varieties in domestic wholesale markets, the top five gainers compared to last Friday were garlic (up 1.3%), green peppers (up 1.2%), large hairtail (up 1.1%), Fuji apples (up 1.1%), and silver carp (up 0.8%). Conversely, the top five decliners were cucumber (down 5.7%), rapeseed (down 4.0%), spinach (down 3.8%), lettuce (down 2.9%), and watermelon (down 2.7%).
