宋宇表示，AI领域的固定资产投资至关重要，因为人工智能本身就是资本密集型产业。然而，他着重强调，必须引导投资从化石能源向可再生能源方向转移。“我并不觉得地球能忍受更多化石能源的燃烧，我们必须推动更多的投资转向可再生能源。”
他进一步指出，中国在能源转型方面已走在前列，致力于推动全球最大规模的清洁能源投资计划。这与美国当前的政策方向形成鲜明对比。“两个月前，我在美国待了两周，所有人都在谈论AI基础设施，却没有任何人提起能源转型，仿佛它不存在一样。这让我们感到非常担忧。”
宋宇的言论凸显了中美在应对气候变化和能源政策上的显著差异，也警示全球在追逐AI技术红利的同时，不能忽视支撑可持续发展的根本性问题。
