Based on survey data from its 2026 Campus Recruitment White Paper and findings from platform governance, human resources provider 51job has released its Autumn Recruitment Alert for the graduating class of 2027. The white paper reveals that some graduates are consulting AI about company growth prospects and role suitability before submitting applications, engaging in what is termed "AI-driven reverse background checks."
The company cautions that AI-generated assessments may be affected by incomplete information and outdated data, recommending that job seekers cross-verify such evaluations through official corporate channels, campus presentations, and feedback from current employees.
Additionally, platform governance data shows that some job postings leverage buzzwords like "management trainee" or "AI trend" to exaggerate salary packages and obscure the true nature of positions. After attracting applicants, these postings resort to tactics such as "limited openings" or "failed assessments" to downgrade roles or impose hidden fees.
Furthermore, malicious actors are packaging fraudulent opportunities around hot sectors like artificial intelligence, advertising high-priced training or certification programs under the guise of recruitment. They promise "certification guarantees employment" and induce candidates to sign up for "training loans."
51job advises that if job seekers encounter suspicious situations, they should preserve evidence such as chat logs, contracts, and transfer receipts, and promptly report the matter to the platform or relevant authorities.
