Singapore Airlines Group Reports Higher Passenger and Cargo Volumes for August 2026

Singapore Airlines Group announced its operating results for Aug, 31 2026, highlighting a 1.5% year-on-year increase in passenger traffic to 13.81 billion revenue passenger-kilometres, while passenger capacity rose 3.5% to 15.99 billion available seat-kilometres. The Group’s passenger load factor stood at 86.4%, down 1.6 percentage points from the prior year. Subsidiaries Singapore Airlines and Scoot posted monthly passenger load factors of 84.7% and 92.2% respectively, as they carried a combined 3.71 million passengers, up 3.6% from August 2025.

Cargo operations registered a 2.8% rise in cargo load to 533.8 million tonne-kilometres, despite a 0.7% decline in gross capacity to 933.5 million tonne-kilometres due to aircraft maintenance activities. Consequently, the cargo load factor improved by 2.0 percentage points to 57.2%. The Group noted sustained demand across most markets, though e-commerce shipments to Europe softened following the EU’s introduction of a small-parcel duty and the removal of the de minimis exemption from Jul, 01 2026.

As of Aug, 31 2026, the Group’s passenger network covered 136 destinations in 35 countries and territories, with Singapore Airlines serving 78 destinations and Scoot serving 84. The cargo network reached 139 destinations across 36 countries and territories.
