Chuxiong Normal University and Yunnan Provincial Low-Altitude Industry Investment Co., Ltd. have officially signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. As a provincial state-owned platform enterprise, the company serves as an ecosystem integrator and comprehensive service provider for Yunnan's plateau-based low-altitude economy, focusing on UAV equipment R&D and manufacturing, full-scenario low-altitude operations, and low-altitude industrial park development. Leveraging the province's unique plateau geography, it deploys solutions across agricultural and forestry inspection, emergency surveying and mapping, low-altitude logistics, and government regulatory oversight, while building a smart low-altitude control and service system. With resources spanning complete drone systems, test flight sites, and real-world project scenarios, the firm leads multiple provincial-level low-altitude application research initiatives and actively advances industry-education collaboration to bridge educational and industrial chains.

"The low-altitude economy is a strategic emerging industry and a key engine for Yunnan's high-quality leapfrog development," said Yang Guihong, President of Chuxiong Normal University. In June, the university conducted a special research visit to the enterprise, focusing on topics such as new program applications in low-altitude economics and precision talent cultivation, laying a solid foundation for this partnership. She expressed hope that both parties would uphold the principles of "co-education of talent, co-management of processes, resource sharing, mutual benefit, and collaborative development" to advance cooperation from agreement to action, jointly creating a provincial model for low-altitude industry-education integration and supplying high-caliber technical talent for Yunnan's low-altitude economy growth.

Under the agreement, the two sides will pursue comprehensive collaboration in scientific research innovation, talent development, and practice base construction. This includes establishing regular communication mechanisms, implementing personnel exchanges, joint project applications, and shared laboratory development through project-based and checklist-driven approaches, while also coordinating the launch of low-altitude economy programs and micro-major initiatives.

This signing marks a significant step for Chuxiong Normal University in serving the development of local emerging industries. The university will leverage its strengths in disciplines such as artificial intelligence and electronic information to deepen science-education and industry-education integration, achieving two-way empowerment and win-win outcomes between the institution and the enterprise.
