The Yongji Guangchu Energy 200MW/800MWh independent shared energy storage station has recently passed a series of grid-connection tests and officially entered its commercial phase. This project, developed by Yongji Guangchu Energy Technology Co., Ltd., covers 61 mu and features a 4-hour system design with a DC side equipped with 6.25MWh battery compartments.
The total investment for this venture amounts to RMB 800 million, with Shanxi Installation Group Co., Ltd. serving as the EPC general contractor. A notable highlight is the adoption of Sinexcel Electric's latest-generation 430kW liquid-cooled string-type energy storage PCS, which was unveiled in April 2025.
Regarding thermal management, this advanced product effectively controls the temperature rise within the entire compartment to less than 5K. It incorporates an upgraded and optimized power drive control algorithm, which boosts single-unit cycle efficiency by 0.2% while slashing auxiliary power consumption by an impressive 30%.
In frequency regulation applications, the string-type storage PCS leverages its high efficiency, superior regulation precision, and rapid response capabilities to significantly enhance asset utilization, service revenue, and overall internal rate of return (IRR) for storage participating in grid ancillary services.
From an operation and maintenance (O&M) perspective, the system utilizes cluster-level management and intelligent inter-cluster balancing control technology. This approach unlocks more than 7% additional usable capacity, avoids battery cluster over-discharge issues, eliminates the need for manual recharging, and reduces manual O&M costs by up to 50%.
Sinexcel Electric's core business involves the research, development, production, and sale of power electronics equipment.
