Shares of the CSOP 2x Leveraged NVIDIA ETF (07788) rose more than 3% on Tuesday, climbing 3.26% to HK$180.50 with trading volume reaching HK$680,200 at the time of writing.

The rally follows a regulatory filing from Monday revealing that NVIDIA has agreed to purchase newly issued Class N non-voting shares of SB Energy through a private placement. The per-share subscription price represents a 10% discount to SB Energy's final IPO price, meaning the transaction is priced at 90% of the expected offering level.

Upon completion of this deal, the world's largest AI chipmaker's cumulative investment in SB Energy will reach $3 billion. NVIDIA's additional $1.5 billion commitment ahead of SB Energy's listing underscores its continued bet on the growing demand for AI data center infrastructure.

For NVIDIA, expanding its investment in data center infrastructure companies carries clear industrial synergy benefits. As AI model training and inference demand continues to rise, the deployment of more data centers translates into greater potential demand for GPUs and related AI computing equipment.
