To bolster the efficiency of water supply network management and safeguard residents' access to safe water, Friendship County initiated a courtyard water pipeline renovation project in Friendship Town in 2026. The project entails upgrading 4.1 kilometers of municipal water mains, 55.43 kilometers of shared courtyard and corridor piping, replacing 11,000 outdated water meters, and installing 5,886 new smart meters. Once operational, the upgrades are set to resolve persistent issues like leaks and low water pressure, enhance water quality, and reduce network loss rates.

This initiative ensures end-to-end water safety control, from the source to the tap, providing long-term, stable, and safe water supply for local residents. During construction, temporary road closures and intermittent water outages may occur, which could affect daily commuting and household water use, and the county seeks residents' patience and cooperation. All contractors are required to adhere to strict engineering standards, coordinate schedules efficiently, and fast-track progress while upholding quality and safety, aiming to finish the project on time.
