Hong Kong-listed Everest Medicines Limited (Everest Med, 01952) has entered into an agreement with Corxel Pharmaceuticals Hong Kong Limited, a subsidiary of Corxel Pharmaceuticals Limited, to secure exclusive rights to develop, manufacture and commercialize the once-daily presbyopia eye-drop LNZ100 across Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
Signed on 5 June 2026, the Agreement grants Everest Med full territorial control of LNZ100 and outlines an upfront cash payment, additional regulatory and sales-based milestone payments, and tiered royalties on future net sales. Specific financial figures were not disclosed, but the transaction falls below the 5 % threshold that would otherwise trigger mandatory disclosure under Hong Kong Listing Rules Chapter 14.
LNZ100, branded as VIZZ in the United States, is formulated with aceclidine, a pupil-selective acetylcholine receptor agonist designed to induce miosis to a sub-2 mm diameter without compromising distance vision. The drug received U.S. FDA approval in July 2025 and commenced U.S. commercial launch in October 2025. In China, the New Drug Application was filed in September 2025, with regulatory approval anticipated in the first quarter of 2027.
Management highlighted that LNZ100 expands Everest Med’s innovative pipeline, deepens its ophthalmology footprint, and enhances cross-portfolio synergies. The product targets a significant unmet need among presbyopic patients, potentially benefiting individuals from their mid-40s to mid-70s across diverse refractive errors due to its unique mechanism of decoupling miosis from myopic shift.
