Sterling Group Holdings Limited (Sterling Group) reported that its indirect wholly owned subsidiary SAL has executed a second repayment agreement leading to an early settlement of HK$10.88 million on 7 July 2026. The payment, made by Santai and guaranteed by Mr. Choi, offsets Mr. Choi’s identical guarantee fee receivable against the outstanding principal of the Financial Assistance and Second Financial Assistance previously granted to Santai.
The two loan facilities originally totalled approximately HK$33.50 million and carried a 7% annual interest rate. Prior repayments of HK$10.00 million, HK$3.30 million, HK$6.00 million, HK$8.00 million and HK$30.00 million were completed between April 2025 and June 2026. Following the latest early repayment, the remaining principal outstanding falls to approximately HK$0.11 million, while accrued interest stands at about HK$4.30 million.
Management expects the accelerated repayment to enhance the Group’s liquidity and overall financial position. There are no penalties associated with early repayment under the loan agreements.
Trading in Sterling Group shares has been suspended since 2 July 2026 pending publication of the audited annual results for the financial year ended 31 March 2026. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the Company’s securities.
