Nasdaq Futures Drop 1% as Oil Prices Climb and US Equity Futures Extend Losses

US equity futures extended their declines as rising oil prices and bond yields hovering near roughly two-decade highs weighed on stock valuations.
As of 4:45 a.m. New York time, Nasdaq 100 index futures were down 1%. S&P 500 index futures fell 0.6%.
In Europe, Germany's DAX index dropped 0.8%, and France's CAC 40 index also declined 0.8%.
Nadege Dufosse, head of multi-asset at Candriam, said: "Overall, oil prices remain a key driver for the market, but investors are now almost navigating in the dark, because no one can tell which direction the negotiations between Iran and the United States will take."
