A sudden landslide struck Yancheng County in Panzhihua City early this morning, leaving some individuals missing and disrupting transportation and communications in the affected areas.

In response, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Emergency Management quickly dispatched a Wing Loong emergency rescue drone to the disaster site. The aircraft used advanced aerial networking and wide-area disaster assessment technologies to establish a vital support channel for on-the-ground rescue operations.

The Wing Loong drone was launched at 9:40 a.m. shortly after the order was given, reaching the core disaster airspace by 11:50 a.m. Since its arrival, it has engaged in multi-faceted emergency support tasks.

As of now, the drone's aerial base station has set up stable communication coverage over the disaster zone, successfully facilitating over two hundred on-site emergency calls and registering more than a thousand external device connections. This has effectively resolved the pressing issues of poor communication and blocked coordination in the disaster-stricken region.
