In order to fully implement the "Four Strictest" requirements and ensure the safety of food on every table, the provincial government has recently issued the "Opinions on Strengthening the Quality and Safety of Agricultural Products." The document specifies that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, an annual quantitative inspection of agricultural products will cover 95,000 batches, with supervision and sampling rates reaching over 30%, a problem detection rate of no less than 2%, and a resolution rate of 100%. The pass rate for routine monitoring of major agricultural products is expected to remain stable at over 98.3%. The number of "Three Products and One Standard" (green food, organic agricultural products, specialty and new agricultural products, and geographical indication products) will continue to lead nationally, ensuring a comprehensive upgrade in agricultural product quality and safety.

The Provincial Bureau of Statistics and the Yunnan Survey Team of the National Bureau of Statistics recently released data showing that from January to August 2026, the province's production and supply remained generally stable, market demand continued to improve, and consumer prices rose moderately, keeping the overall economic operation in a steady state. During this period, the added value of non-tobacco and non-energy industries grew by 2.8% year-on-year. Power generation from industrial enterprises above designated size reached 301.414 billion kilowatt-hours, up 0.8% from a year earlier. Electricity consumption by these enterprises increased by 4.3%, while total social power consumption grew by 6.7%. Retail sales of consumer goods totaled 819.628 billion yuan, with sales of wearable smart devices surging 69.5%.
The Provincial Development and Reform Commission recently announced the second batch of provincial-level major projects and "top-priority" projects for 2026.
