To ensure the quality and safety of agricultural products during the two major holidays, prevent produce with excessive pesticide residues from entering the market, and safeguard public dietary health, the county's Comprehensive Inspection and Testing Center recently carried out rapid quality and safety testing work on agricultural products, commissioned by the county's Agricultural and Rural Bureau.
According to reports, the Comprehensive Inspection and Testing Center strictly followed rapid testing protocols, dispatching teams to farmers' markets, fruit and vegetable planting bases, large supermarkets, and agricultural product retail outlets across seven townships. They conducted random sampling on a range of products, including vegetables, fruits, edible fungi, pork, and eggs, collecting a total of 154 samples.
Testing personnel employed two methods—enzyme inhibition and colloidal gold—to perform the inspections, issuing test reports promptly upon completion. This rapid testing initiative provides solid technical support for the county's agricultural product quality control, helping business operators identify potential food safety risks, effectively reinforcing the agricultural product safety barrier, and protecting consumers' safety as residents enjoy a peaceful and festive holiday season.
