Shandong Gold announced after the close of trading on September 24 that the company held the 20th meeting of its seventh board of directors that day, at which it approved a proposal to adjust its 2026 production and operation plan, agreeing to revise the planned mineral gold output for 2026 from no less than 49 tonnes to a range of 36 to 38 tonnes.

On March 26, 2026, Shandong Gold approved a 2026 production and operation plan calling for gold output of no less than 49 tonnes. However, since the plan was set at the beginning of the year, the company's external operating environment has changed, and given the progress of its project construction, the gold output target in the original plan is expected to be significantly affected.

Shandong Gold said the main factors include the following. First, in the first half of 2026, after safety accidents occurred at other companies in the industry, the company's domestic mines carried out safety self-inspections as required, causing its first-half gold output to decline year on year. Second, in the face of escalating industry safety regulation, and in light of its own production and operations, the company has since the second half of the year carried out work to improve safety standards and management, strengthened safety standardization, coordinated infrastructure construction with production, and comprehensively advanced infrastructure construction at its domestic mines, especially stepping up construction of resource integration projects in the Yantai area, including the Jiaojia Gold Mine, Xincheng Gold Mine, Sanshandao Gold Mine, Linglong Gold Mine and Penglai Mining. Project construction has affected mining operations, reducing the number of active production faces in the current period, and has therefore had a certain impact on the company's 2026 gold output and the completion of its full-year production and operation targets.

Based on these factors, Shandong Gold's 2026 production and operation plan is to be adjusted from the original "gold output of no less than 49 tonnes" to "gold output of 36 to 38 tonnes," a decline of about 22.45% to 26.53%.

Shandong Gold said its mineral gold output in 2025 was 48.89 tonnes, and its expected mineral gold output in 2026 will decrease by about 11 to 13 tonnes year on year. The decline in output is expected to have a certain impact on the company's 2026 operating revenue, total profit, net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company and other key accounting figures, and the company's net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company in 2026 is expected to fall year on year.

On September 24, Shandong Gold's share price closed at 29.07 yuan per share, down 6.01%, with a latest market value of 122.8 billion yuan.
