Shares of Legend Holdings (03396) have advanced more than 7%, trading at HK$19.91 with turnover reaching HK$212 million during the session, according to market data.
In the first half of this year, the company generated revenue of RMB 362.935 billion, up 29% year-over-year, largely driven by robust growth at its subsidiaries Lenovo Group and Levima Advanced Materials. Net profit attributable to shareholders surged 219% to RMB 2.23 billion, supported by a rebound in the valuation of its industrial incubation and investment portfolio. Excluding one-off items, net profit attributable to equity holders stood at RMB 5.812 billion, a remarkable 834% increase from the prior year.
Notably, during the period, the group facilitated the listing of 12 portfolio companies across capital markets, spanning hard-tech sectors such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and medical devices.
Where to begin with outlook: Analysts at Guotai Junan Securities suggest that Lenovo Group remains the primary profit contributor, while Levima Advanced Materials is entering a capacity release phase. The industrial investment segment should continue to benefit from improving capital market conditions and successful IPOs of portfolio firms, indicating that the company's earnings recovery momentum is likely to persist in the coming quarters.
