As Russia's parliamentary election entered its final day of voting, a drone strike hit a Moscow refinery, part of Ukraine's largest nighttime UAV offensive against Russia so far this year. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported on Sunday that multiple drones targeted the refinery area, damaging one facility, though he declined to provide further specifics. He stated in a post that the attack caused no casualties and that emergency crews were on site handling the situation.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense systems shot down 1,110 Ukrainian drones across 19 Russian regions and Crimea. This marks the largest single-night drone assault Russia has recorded this year, surpassing the previous record of 822 downed in August. The Moscow refinery, owned by Russian oil producer Gazprom Neft, sits roughly 25 kilometers (16 miles) from the Kremlin. With a daily processing capacity of about 245,000 barrels, it stands as one of the primary fuel suppliers for the Moscow area. The press department of Gazprom Neft did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
