On September 23, the finals of Zhenjiang's first Artificial Intelligence Application Scenario Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition took place, co-hosted by the Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau, along with the Municipal Development and Reform Commission and the Municipal Data Bureau. The event was themed "Scenario-Driven, Wisdom Converging in Zhenjiang, AI Creating the Future," concentrating on innovative AI applications and seeking high-quality tech projects across multiple sectors. The competition was structured around four main tracks: the real economy track, urban public services track, frontier sci-tech innovation future track, and modern commerce, culture, and tourism track.
Prior to the finals, the competition issued an open call for project submissions, drawing enthusiastic responses from innovation and entrepreneurship teams both within and outside the province. In total, more than 120 projects were registered. Participating teams came from various cities within the province, alongside strong representation from teams in Hubei, Fujian, and Shandong provinces. Following an online preliminary screening, 101 teams advanced to the semifinals, and ultimately 32 high-quality projects competed in the finals.
During the finals, each team presented their core technology, innovative advantages, application scenarios, and plans for industrialization. In the end, four projects earned first-place awards: "AI-Empowered Boron Neutron Capture Therapy for Precise Tumor Treatment," "AutoBIM Agent-Based C2M Export Platform for Auto and Motorcycle Parts," "A New Paradigm for Photovoltaic Manufacturing Intelligence Driven by High-Quality PV Datasets," and "WFSD-Based Smart Ecological Water Maintenance Project."
The municipal industry and information technology department stated that it will leverage the innovation platform established through this competition by building a database of winning projects. It will engage in one-on-one, targeted coordination with various districts, industrial parks, leading enterprises, and investment institutions, ensuring the implementation of supportive policies and continuously tracking project incubation, achievement commercialization, and university-industry collaboration.
