China Mobile has been included in the list of pilot verification units for key standards and technical documents recently unveiled at the "Data Infrastructure and Data Standardization Exchange" session of the 2026 China International Big Data Industry Expo.

The China Mobile Research Institute, in collaboration with the group's Digital Intelligence Division, Integration Company, and Zijin Institute, participated in verification trials across six key focus areas and secured a spot on the approved list. This achievement underscores the National Data Standards Committee's strong endorsement of China Mobile's expertise in data standardization and further cements its industry influence in the data element sector.

In line with policy directives such as the National Data Standards System Construction Guide, the National Data Infrastructure Construction Guide, and the Trusted Data Space Development Action Plan (2024-2028), the committee has initiated pilot verifications targeting six critical domains: data infrastructure, high-quality datasets, data products, public data resources, data services, and data anonymization. These efforts aim to enhance the advancement, scientific rigor, and applicability of standards while fast-tracking the development of national data infrastructure.

By leading the initiative and coordinating multiple internal units to join the pilot list, China Mobile has demonstrated its deep integration into the national data standards framework. The company is embedding its solutions into national data standards, sharing exemplary industry practices, and feeding real-world experience back into standard-setting processes. This contributes to forging impactful, replicable demonstration cases that bolster the high-quality growth of the data industry.

This selection further solidifies China Mobile's first-mover advantage in data element standardization and lays a robust groundwork for its future involvement in formulating national data standards and amplifying its voice within the sector. Moving forward, China Mobile will continue to support the National Data Standards Committee in advancing standard system construction, standards development, and pilot applications across key areas, while summarizing lessons learned to generate additional best-practice cases. This sustained commitment will aid in the ongoing construction of national data infrastructure and drive greater contributions to the marketization of data elements and the high-quality development of the digital economy.
