Want Want China repurchases 2.22 million shares; cumulative buyback reaches 47.36 million under 2026 mandate

Want Want China Holdings Limited disclosed a further on-market repurchase of 2.22 million ordinary shares on 16 September 2026. The transaction, executed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, was conducted within a price range of HKD 2.805 to HKD 2.845 per share, for a total consideration of HKD 6.28 million. The volume-weighted average price was approximately HKD 2.83.

The newly repurchased shares are designated for cancellation, leaving the company’s issued share capital unchanged at 11.73 billion shares pending formal cancellation.

Including this latest transaction, Want Want China has bought back 47.36 million shares since the current mandate was approved on 25 August 2026, utilising 0.40 % of the 1.17 billion-share limit authorised by shareholders. Of these, 44.16 million shares remain outstanding for cancellation, representing about 0.38 % of the company’s existing issued shares.

Under Hong Kong Listing Rules, Want Want China is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares until 16 October 2026. All repurchases were confirmed to be in compliance with the exchange’s regulations and the explanatory statement dated 24 July 2026.
