AstraZeneca's Long-Term Outlook Could Look Safer After Next Year

0925 GMT - AstraZeneca is due to report results on a number of late-stage clinical trials next year that could improve investors' confidence in its ability to continue to grow beyond 2030, analysts at J.P. Morgan say. The U.K. drugmaker has the busiest schedule of pipeline newsflow in the sector over the next 18 months, the analysts say in a research note. Two late-stage trials in breast and lung cancer are among the most highly anticipated. But AstraZeneca is also due to release data on a cholesterol pill, combinations including its diabetes, heart and kidney medicine Farxiga, and other oncology drugs, the analysts add. These trials could offer more than $10 billion in potential peak annual sales and should improve confidence in AstraZeneca's long-term outlook, according to JPM. Shares rise 0.8% to 122.10 pounds.
