Credit Spreads Risk Sustained Widening

1002 GMT - Credit markets face growing threats from high sovereign bond yields, AI disruption concerns and geopolitical worries, which could cause credit spreads to widen, Societe Generale's Juan Valencia says in a note. U.S. dollar and euro credit spreads have remained fairly resilient due to strong demand for the assets, despite the volatility in stocks and sovereign bonds in recent months. A new shock could trigger sharp and sustained credit spread widening, however, Valencia says.
