Southeast Asia's six major economies are expected to grow at an average annual rate of 4.8% from 2026 to 2035, according to the latest Outlook report published Wednesday by DBS Group, Bain & Co., and Vriens & Partners.

The projection is below the 5.1% forecast for 2024 to 2034 in the previous report, but above the region's average annual growth of 4.1% between 2016 and 2025.

Vietnam is expected to remain the region's fastest-growing economy, with average annual growth of 6.2%, followed by the Philippines at 5.8% and Indonesia at 5.4%.

Malaysia is projected to grow by 4.3%, while Singapore and Thailand are expected to expand by 2.7% and 2.2%, respectively.

The report said Southeast Asia's outlook will increasingly depend on strengthening institutional resilience, energy systems and AI adoption amid shifting trade, technology and geopolitical conditions.
