HDFC Bank (HDB) said in a regulatory filing dated Sept. 12 that the names of two candidates for the chief executive officer role are being submitted to India's central bank for approval.
The company said the candidates' names and their proposed remuneration packages are being forwarded to the Reserve Bank of India following a board meeting on Saturday.
The identities of the two candidates were not disclosed.
