Raffles Education (SGX:NR7) said its wholly owned Malaysian subsidiary Raffles K12 has been served with two summons seeking enforcement of the arbitration awards by Pembinaan Mitrajaya, according to a Wednesday filing to the Singapore stock exchange.
Earlier in the month, K12 filed applications with the High Court of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur to set aside two arbitration awards relating to the main contract and the outdoor sports facilities contract.
Four of the six awards have been fully satisfied through aggregate payments of 3.9 million ringgit.
Raffles K12 intends to vigorously resist the enforcement applications, the company said.
