Macquarie Asset Management Completes Acquisition of Units in Infrastructure Investment Trust from La Caisse

Macquarie Asset Management completed the acquisition of units in Maple Infrastructure Trust, an infrastructure investment trust that owns and operates toll roads in India, from La Caisse on Sept. 11, via the Macquarie Asia-Pacific Infrastructure Fund 4, according to a Tuesday statement.

Macquarie and La Caisse jointly own controlling stakes in Maple's investment manager and project manager after completion.

Macquarie Asia-Pacific Infrastructure Fund 4 committed $450 million, which includes $150 million of additional equity earmarked for Maple's future acquisitions.

Maple's Indian road network has an aggregate length of around 3,328 lane kilometers.

Macquarie's shares slid 1% in recent trading on Tuesday.
