Japan's largest power generator JERA is considering expanding its liquefied natural gas sales outside Japan over the next two years, expanding its trading portfolio to help secure energy security amid volatile power demand, Reuters reported Thursday, citing Chief Executive Irtiza Sayyed.
The power company's Singapore-based unit plans to build greater flexibility into its LNG portfolio and expand overseas sales to manage seasonal fluctuations in Japan's LNG demand, the report said.
