L3Harris Technologies Gets $876 Million Navy Contract Upgrade

The Defense Department awarded L3Harris Technologies an $876.4 million modification to the company's existing contract to continue developing its jammer low band system for the Navy.
The modification relates to tooling and equipment, delivery of system demonstration test article pods, additional cybersecurity and system security development, and product, logistics, testing and evaluation. It will also include software support for the Navy and Royal Australian Air Force, the Defense Department said.
Work will be performed in Salt Lake City, Utah; Hollywood, Ala. and a number of other cities in the U.S. It is expected to be completed in fiscal 2031.
Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
